HOME DESIGN MAGAZINE
READERSHIP GROWING
and remains ahead
of Belle, Real Living and Inside Out
in latest Roy Morgan Readership Poll

After a strong two years, Home Design magazine has made gains of 2.6% to reach 120,000 readers and is ahead of numerous competitors in the September 2019 Roy Morgan Readership Poll, released yesterday.

The best is yet to come

Home Design added a unique direct distribution program in August 2019, but this would barely have touched the September 2019 readership result – so the best is yet to come!

Home Design is now posted to every single consumer with a development application (DA) of significance in the Eastern Seaboard states. This began in August 2019 and will gain momentum over time. Home Design is the only publication on the market with this distribution strategy, supplementing more traditional channels.

Home Design is not so much for recreational reading but is designed to be a project research tool for anyone with an interior or renovation project,” Publisher Janice Williams explains, “so it makes sense for us to go the extra mile and ensure every DA applicant gets a copy.”

Ahead of the generalist home publications

Currently…

  • Home Design is 13,000 readers ahead of Inside Out at 107,000
  • Home Design is currently 6,000 readers ahead of Belle, which is at 114,000,
  • Home Design is 3,000 readers ahead of Real Living at 117,000
Magazine market as a whole is up

A total of 15,205,000 Australians aged 14+ (73.3%) read magazines in print or online either via the web or an app.

That’s up 0.6 per cent, or 88,000, from a year ago according to the results released yesterday in the Roy Morgan Australian Readership report for the 12 months to September 2019.
