Magazine Readership Continues to Increase – Feb 2019

A total of 15,189,000 Australians aged 14+ (74.2 per cent) read magazines whether in print or online either via the web or an app. That is up an impressive 1.2 per cent, or 183,000, from a year ago according to the results released today from the Roy Morgan Australian Readership report for the 12 months to December 2018. There are two Readership systems in Australia – Roy Morgan and IPSOS Enhanced Media Metrics Australia.  Both are credible, both survey over 50,000 Aussies and report back the results to agencies.  UMCo has 12 titles registered with EMMA and 2 with Roy Morgan.  This update comes from Roy Morgan and both of the UMCo publications in that survey are up – Home Design and WellBeing.  Home Design has 110,000 readers in the Roy Morgan system (above Belle at 102, Real Living at 100,000 and Vogue Living at 94,000).  WellBeing has 135,000 readers in the Roy Morgan system (155 % of, or 50% more than, Prevention at 87,000)
