WellBeing WILD
The brand-new mainstream magazine
putting mental health front and centre
for millennial women

“Putting mental health on the cover of
WellBeing WILD was a no-brainer,” said Editor Kate Duncan.

“We want WellBeing WILD to be the millennial woman’s journal for positive living … we can’t offer that unless we tackle the tricky stuff like mental health. WellBeing WILD is for those going against the grain, swimming upstream, standing boldly in the arena, asking the hard questions and doing the prickly work – on themselves and the way they create their lives.”

The first edition of WellBeing WILD is refreshingly pragmatic, offering articles as diverse as “how to make friends in adulthood” to “workplace performance” and “dealing with anxiety”. The first edition of the publication also includes an anxiety-anchoring tool.

“Our readers occupy friendship groups where mental health issues are managed and discussed. At WellBeing WILD we want to do our bit for normalising that experience by placing these topics alongside fashion and lifestyle content,” Kate shared.

“We also want to frame these discussions within the overall conversation of creating a positive life and being a better version of yourself. Magazines are good at this … here at WellBeing WILD we say life is full of seasons. Sometimes, a season of struggle can linger a little longer than you might like. WellBeing WILD offers the flame of inspiration you need to get going and keep going. We exist to guide you towards a more connected, intentional and happy life.”

Magazines and In-Mind Time

Magazines are consumed privately. Quiet “in-mind time” is part of the experience. The encounter consists partly of the images and stories that you see on the page, and partly from the feelings and responses you experience.

“Our content is structured to make the most of this in-mind time, and offers an experience that makes you come away feeling lifted and inspired,” added Kate.

Millennial Readers Looking for In-Mind Time

Despite being digital natives, millennial readers are driving the resurgence in sales of print books internationally and are discovering magazines that are designed for them. WellBeing WILD is the latest in a group of publications that speak to this generation with a look and feel that is arty, edgy and modern.
