Deadline extended for House of the Year Awards entries
Due to strong demand, Grand Designs Australia Magazine is accepting last-minute entries for the 2027 House of the Year Awards.
Architects now have until 31 October to enter across a range of categories. These include Best Small New Home (under 200m2), Best Large New Home, Best Renovations, Best Interior and Best Energy-Efficient Home.
“This year’s submissions are of exceptional quality and feature innovative homes that really push the boundaries of contemporary architecture,” says Alex Dalland, Awards Convenor of the Grand Designs Australia Magazine House of the Year Awards
From avant-garde designs that challenge convention to stylish renovations that breathe new life into heritage homes, the Awards celebrate the incredible client outcomes that are shaping Australia’s built environment and which lie at the heart of the Grand Designs ethos. The prestigious House of the Year title recognises architectural excellence and elevates the profile of the winning practices.
The winners will be announced in April 2027 and are determined by esteemed panel of judges. Grand Designs Australia host Anthony Burke joins architectural, design and placemaking experts Annie Tennant, Dr Timothy Moore and Tamara Veltre.
