“The People’s Choice component of Home Design’s Renovation of the Year Awards is a key distinction of our awards,” says Editor of Home Design, April Ossington. “Renovations that inspire others is one of our main judging criteria, and by showcasing a curated selection of our top entrants, this allows valuable feedback from our audience while also providing real-world examples of work by People with Projects, which provides useful motivation to start new renovations.”

Voters who participate in the People’s Choice showcase are eligible to win a $1000 Flooring gift card (courtesy of Embelton Flooring) or a $2447 Crossray BBQ and Heatstrip heating pack, courtesy of Thermofilm.

As Australia’s foremost journal targeting people with projects, Home Design magazine is the perfect platform for an award celebrating the renovation journey through the eyes of the homeowner.

Universal Media Co would also like to thank our valued partners: Big Ass Fans, Crossray BBQ, Heatstrip, Embelton, Jindara & Eureka Woodheating and Porta Mouldings.

About Home Design Renovation of the Year

At Home Design we love seeing our readers’ renovations and we love to inspire others to get out and do their own. Our mission as a publication is to inspire all homeowners who are thinking of a decoration, renovation or build project to learn what is available and become confident as consumers.

We showcase all kinds of renovations in the magazine and decided it was time to give our loyal renovator readers an opportunity to show their projects. The standard was high and ranged from simple kitchen and bathroom projects to full home renovations. This competition was designed for the homeowner. While many competitions reward the professionals who are often involved in renovation projects, it is the leap of faith of the homeowner that gets things started.

About Home Design magazine

Home Design is published by Universal Media Co and for more than 25 years has been helping homeowners gain the confidence to embark on renovation projects of their own.
