People are still leaving Sydney and Melbourne for Sunny Queensland
The latest from the HIA interprets what we are seeing in Census data for the home sector. In 2021 54,700 residents left NSW and VIC for the regions, with overseas migration offsetting this only in the last quarter. All other states have grown except for the NT. The biggest growth has been in QLD.
